Full sister to Elektra above, Event bred Grade C registered Appaloosa mare, bay based few spot, born 2001.  Bred by the well respected Centaur Stud in Leicestershire, her bloodlines include many performance Appaloosas and top class hunters. Her sire, Centaur Jolly Jack (Rivaz Limerick out of a First Draft mare) is himself an Intermediate Eventer with over 40 BE points and has competed internationally, and is known for siring athletic sport horses.  She combines both of the Centaur foundation stallions in her pedigree First Draft and Rivaz Limerick and has a whole family of performance Appaloosas and top class hunters.

'Dot' stands at around 15.3hh, she was Extras first foal and all her full siblings have all made 16.3hh+!  She is of excellent quality with good limbs, excellent paces with plenty of presence and a fantastically sweet nature.  She has previously had two foals by Dance With Wolves in the past as well as by other sires.  Her 2008 foal by Primitive Proposal was awarded a high First Premium at the BEF Futurity and continues to do very well showing in Sports Horse Classes.

Dot produced a lovely snowcap filly by Dancer in 2012 which was sold 'In Utero' and has had 2 lovely fillies since then, both now sold.

Quality fewspot mare as proved by her virtually unheard of foal score of 95 % with the ZfDP in Germany - with a perfect 10 for (amongst others) movement.  She was also awarded a PREMIUM and Gold Award as well as winning the mares class at the first UK ECHA grading in September 2007.  Angel was awarded a PREMIUM yet again at her KNN grading September 2008 with an overall score of 8 in BOTH Sports and Classic sections and winning 'Best Mare' making her now a TRIPLE Premium Graded mare!

Massive paces, superb temperament, beautiful head and temperament and of course a guarantee of passing on the spotted gene to all of her offspring.

She breeds spotted competition horses of size and quality.  She herself is 165cm, and is pure bred being 75% Knabstrupper in the 3rd generation.

A perfect combination of the two main Knabstrupper Sporthorse lines in the second generation, with Apollon as maternal grandsire and Xanthos as paternal grandsire.

Foaled a quality fewspot colt by Sonny Boy  (ZfDP Stallion Book 1, Bay Leopard, 157cm) he is sure to be a Knabstrupper sport horse performance prospect, not only because Sonny Boy is by the renowned Knabstrupper sport horse Thunder Boy, but also because this foal has superb paces.

Angel foaled 14th June 2008 a stunning black near leopard colt by the fantastic Oldenburg stallion Rubin Star N  (Rubinstein 1)  followed by a gorgeous colt by  the stunning SHOWMAKER (Westf) for 2010. Her 2011 colt by Landtanzer was awarded an overall 9 out of a possible 10 at his KNN foal assessment.  She consistently throws top quality, big moving youngsters by a variety of stallions.

Rare 100% purebred white born Knabstrupper filly born 2005.

16.1hh white born, black based with no sabino (4 dark triangles).

Lupi carries some of the old and well respected classical Knabstrupper bloodlines as well as the Sport types.  One of a very few 100% purebred fillies in the UK making her a valuable asset to our mare group.

She combines bone and substance with quality and she has a refined, feminine head.
Three good straight paces and an easy, trainable temperament as you would expect.

Lupina had a gorgeous dark bay leopard colt by RUBIN STAR N in 2009, Tresaison Ricochet, and then a stunning black based leopard filly by our Dance With Wolves 2010.  We like this filly so much that we repeated the  mating.  See Foals 2011 to see photos of her next gorgeous black based filly..

Lupi has been scanned in foal to the stunning LANDTANZER for 2013 - this will be a main register KNN foal. Update: Lupi has had a super bay near leopard colt foal who is a delight, a super mover and should have a fantastic future.

She has had a superb leopard colt by LEGRANDE 2014 who has been sold back to LeGrandes owner to be produced for dressage.  We were so pleased with this pairing that we put her back to Legrande and she is due in June 2015.

Tresaison Didi (2007)

Main registered Appaloosa

Dance With Wolves

Bibi Sahiba

First Draft ApHC/BApS
TB 1978

Didi is another fabulous mare, born in 2007 out of Bibi Sahiba and by Dance with Wolves. She is full sister to our homebred Sahiba who has now been sold on - see below.

Didi started her ridden career as a 4 year old and was then given time to mature as she is a big girl, currently standing at 17.1hh.  She produced a gorgeous snowcap filly by Nobody's Harlequin in 2013.  She was then brought back into work but, due to time constraints and other horses to ride we have decided to breed another foal from her in 2015.

Didi is a lovely example of a Sports Appaloosa she has the lovely deep body and fabulous front of her sire and the overall fantastic proportions that got her dam so far in her showing career. Didi is another with fabulous paces, particularly her trot.

Didi is in foal to Marster for a 2015 foal, due May.

Hannah is a home bred mare.  She was sold as a weanling and with her new owner was presented to the KNN as a 3 yr old and graded as a KNN mare.  Having spent some time doing dressage and hunting she was then being produced as an eventer and showing great ability and potential when unfortunately injury cut short what was proving to be a promising career.  She has a lovely sweet temperament and fantastic flowing paces.

Hannah stands at 16.2hh and is a sport horse type of mare.   She has produced two stunning fillies for us by two different Knabstrupper stallions. Manhattan, her 2014 filly is particularly gorgeous and one of the best movers we have this year, her paces are just outstanding.

Another lovely fully graded and branded Danish Knabstrupper mare.  Yellow combines the Knabstrupper blood with Danish Warmblood making her an ideal type of Sport horse mare and a fantastic partner for our Knabstrupper stallion. Yellow  was purchased in foal and produced a superb quality 2005 bay near leopard filly, to make around 16.1-16.2hh (see 2005 foals page) by  Xantast Middelsom KNN126 - fully graded leopard Knabstrupper stallion standing 168cm.

Her 2004 filly by the same sire won best foal at the 2004 grading in Denmark

Her first foal by  Nobody’s Harlequin  did not disappoint - she foaled a huge, stunning fewspot colt on 6th April 2007.

Yellow followed this with a succession of top quality offspring, some of which are now at riding age and it is lovely to see them out and about. her 2013 colt foal Harlem, was sold to South Africa and will stand at stud there, the first few spot KNN stallion to do so.   There are pictures of him on our News Pages.  Sadly her 2014 leopard colt was born with very windswept legs and other joint defects and so, after a few weeks of Veterinary care to no avail it was decided the best decision was to let him go.  She is in foal again to Marster for 2015 and will foal down in her new home up in the Scottish Isles.

Yellow Gram is in foal to Marster Lynghoj KNN 191 due April 2014.

Sir Holtrup (Old)  Silvio I  (Old) / Sandro (Holst)
First Lady / Fiener Stern (Hann)
 Oferna  Harcos / Narcos II
 Ferna / Schalkhaar
Eye Catcher (Libby) is a beautiful mare who is also very talented.  She was on her way to being a very successful Eventer before injury cut short her already very promising career.  She progressed through the grades from Pre-Novice to 1* in just two seasons eventing accumulating 25 BE points along the way.   She had also been a successful Show Jumper prior to starting as an eventer.

Libby has the most wonderful easy and kind nature.  She has 3 fantastic elastic paces and good conformation.  Standing at 17hh she fills the eye and is altogether a very pleasing horse and very appropriately named!!

Her breeding boasts some very influential names such as Sir Holstrup, Silvio I and Sandro, sire of Sandro Hit on her sire side and the great Narcoss II on her dam line as well as many other great jumping horses.

Libby is branded Oldenburg and we aim to get her graded and KNN approved in time.

Tresaison Rioja (2009)

Thoroughbred (Wetherbys)

Grape Tree Road
Severn Magic Buckley
La Margarite

We bred this very pretty mare out of our old extremely successful Pt to Pt /NH mare Severn Magic.  We carefully chose her sire, Grape Tree Road, not only for his ability to pass on his speed and stamina on the race track but for his excellent conformation, temperament and looks, something that is sometimes overlooked in breeding Thoroughbreds.

Rio was bred with the intention of putting her into training but circumstances changed and somehow time has passed us by!  She is therefore genuinely untried and is due her first foal by our lovely Knabstrupper stallion Marster in 2014.

She  stands at  16.1hh with a good amount of bone, she is a really nice stamp of horse with plenty of substance.  She has 3 good paces, is very athletic with a great turn of speed and should have her dams tremendous stamina.   She is a very easy mare with a fabulous, kind temperament and will be a lovely ridden prospect for a keen teenager or lightweight adult.

Rio has been sold to a lovely local home where the plan is that she will be broken and brought on to Event following her foal in 2014.

Tresaison Sahiba (2001)

Main registered Appaloosa

Dance With Wolves

Bibi Sahiba

First Draft ApHC/BApS
TB 1978

Sahiba is a delightful mare, born 2001 out of Bibi Sahiba and by Dance with Wolves. Sahiba has won / been placed every time out and was overall SUPREME CHAMPION at the 2003 NATIONAL APPALOOSA SHOW.   Her paces are breathtaking and she has a fantastic sweet and sensitive temperament.  Broken and ridden away as a four and five year old, we have decided now to use her as a brood mare for a while.

Sahiba foaled a dark dun colt by the Sports stallion  Burnock Exclusively Done 4th May 2008.  She unfortunately lost her 2010 filly.

Sahiba is in foal to Marster for a 2014 foal.  She has now been sold to a fabulous home where she will continue as a broodmare and will be used to produce top class spoted Eventers. She is booked to Future Illusion for 2014!

Centaur Lady (2006)

Centaur Jolly Jack

Rivaz Limerick

Centaur Elite

Lambrigg Galatea

First Draft

Ulrichs Tonya

Lady is a very well put together grade B Appaloosa mare and our 3rd Broodmare by Centaur Jolly Jack and with a First Draft damline.  We love this bloodline combined with Dance With Wolves!

Lady is a tall sports type mare, standing 16.2hh, and has lovely paces as well as good conformation and a very easy and loving temperament.  She had started what was promising to be a very successful career in eventing until injury meant that Vets recommended she took a short time out.  She had taken all her training in her stride and was really enjoying the XC element, never saying no to anything she was asked to do.

She has been bred to Dance With Wolves for a main registered Appaloosa foal in 2013 - Update: Lady has had a gorgeous bay filly with a frosted blanket, see more details Foal 2013 and Horses For Sale.

Lambada is another imported Danish mare.  Born in 2000, Lambada was put forward for her grading with the KNN in Denmark in August 2004 where she achieved an 8 (First Premium).   She is a big mare, now standing at over 170cm.

She is another fine example of the modern Sports type Knabstrupper with a huge trot and tremendous elevation.  She will most likely be competed in dressage or eventing when she continues with her ridden career.

Although a solid brown, Lambada will always produce coloured offspring when bred to our resident Knabstrupper stallion Nobody’s Harlequin.   Her type, conformation and paces are the ideal compliment to his and she was bought with this purpose in mind.   Her 2006 colt has been sold to a home where he will be produced for dressage.

Lambada has since then had two lovely near leopard fillies and in 2012 a bay blanket filly who is For Sale.

We unusually combined the Appaloosa and Knabstrupper with Tildes first foal with us,  as her type is such a good match for our senior stallion  Dance With Wolves, and the 2006 covering resulted in a handsome fewspot colt being born in April 2007.

She foaled a fantastic bay leopard colt by RUBIN STAR N 22nd May 2008.

Tilde foaled a full brother to Snow Wolf, 7th March 2010 a fabulous near leopard colt who is going to be another big boy, Tresaison Dare To Dance.

Bliss is a young mare we are very pleased to have added to our herd.  She is from a long line of event  and performance horses and should produce some exciting offspring before going on to a ridden career herself.  She is a tall mare, standing 16.3hh+ at only 3 years old and is out of our Elektra's full sister.  She is also a true few spot so should guarantee coloured offspring.  Bliss has lovely straight paces, excellent conformation and a very sweet trusting nature.  She foaled a lovely chestnut blanket based colt on 21st June who will make a stunning performance prospect - see foals 2009.

Bliss's foal has now been weaned and Bliss has returned to her owner to start her ridden career.  We would like to thank Steve Morris for the loan of his lovely mare..

May Kignaes

DS 2736 DKDV

Maybrit (Maisie) is an exciting addition to our broodmare band.  Standing at 16.3hh she is a big girl with plenty of bone and a lovely head and kind eye.

She is a fully graded DANISH WARMBLOOD mare by the great MAY SHERIF and bred by the well respected Cranswick Stud in Leicestershire.  Certainly the most famous of the Danish stallions, May Sherif lived all his life in that country, except for a short period breeding in Finland in 1987. His breeding is a real mix: Trakehner, Holsteiner, Thoroughbred, Trakehner, Hanoverian and Swedish Warmblood!  Despite competition from imported German and Swedish horses, May Sherif won his performance test for the Danish Warmblood Society in 1975. Initially May Sherif started out covering around 150 mares a year, a very high number at the time. Despite the fact that he went on to compete at Prix St Georges level, May Sherif lost popularity after a few years at the top and he did not cover many mares in the 1970’s and 1980’s. However by the end of the 80’s his value became apparent and the number and quality of the mares he covered improved.
In 1988, he had two of his progeny competing at the Seoul Olympic Games, Andiamo, then ridden by the Swiss Otto Hofer, and Matador with Kyra Kyrklund. And suddenly May Sherif was not only popular in Denmark, but his semen was being sent all around the world.

Maisie had a successful ridden / dressage career before having her first foal in 2008 by DENOUNCE, Louella's lovely TB stallion (this colt is for sale) see Horses for Sale

Maisie had a lovely blanket spotted colt by Nobody's Harlequin on 25th June 2009.  He fully registered and passported KNN and is a stunning mover - see 2009 foals

Maisie has unfortunately lost her 2010 foal despite being scanned positive so has now gone home to her owner where she will resume her ridden work before breeding again.   We thank Steven Morris for the loan of this lovely mare.

In her day Bibi was widely recognised as the best Appaloosa mare in the Country.  In her short showing career she was National Champion Appaloosa four times frequently beating stallions.  Always a winner and Champion when shown at National and County level. Winner in-hand, riding horse, hunter and working hunter classes.  At British Nations Cup Hickstead 1992, she was champion in front of the renowned Klaus and seven other stallions.  See News section for old newspaper cuttings.   She was retired from the show ring by her previous owner at 8 yrs of age to become a brood mare.

Bibi bred a delightful filly in 2001 by Dance with Wolves,  Tresaison Sahiba, who has won or been placed top 3 every time out and was overall SUPREME CHAMPION at the 2003 NATIONAL APPALOOSA SHOW as a 2 yr old.  Her full brother (2003) Tresaison Lone Wolf, a bay blanket spotted gelding, has recently been sold to a showing and dressage home where we know he will be outstanding.

Bibi’s  2005 colt by Dance With Wolves,  a black based blanket spot, has been sold to a showing and dressage home.

Bibi foaled a stunning black blanket filly in spring 2007 which will be retained by us to continue her bloodline and she followed this by an equally lovely bay filly in 2008 which we are also retaining at the moment.

Unfortunately we lost our wonderful Bibi following a caesarean operation on 13th June 2009.  Her beautiful colt foal also died.  Fortunately her legacy lives on with us with her daughters that we have retained.

Homebred Knabstrupper filly born 13th April 2005.

15.3hh (to mature 16hh) black based few spot.

Diva is our first homebred KNN registered Knabstrupper filly and she has been retained by us as a brood mare.  She carries some of the very best Knabstrupper and Warmblood lines going back to Ramiro Z.  She has correct, compact conformation and great paces as you would expect from a filly with this breeding.  She has a bold and inquisitive nature and a very trainable attitude.

Diva is scanned in foal to Dance With Wolves for a stunning spotted Sports Horse foal - Due 3rd April 2009

Diva has been sold to a lovely home where she will have a career as a ridden horse after her first foal before carrying on a s a brood mare later in life - we wish her and her new owner every success!
