Sire: Nobody's Harlequin KNN 166

This is a stunning boy!  He is so full of presence and so confident and he has the looks and conformation to go with it.  Everyone who sees him comments on how beautiful he is!!  He must be a top class prospect.  Very similar in type to his full brother who was exported to Australia to stand at stud there.  Fabulous uphill paces, good correct conformation and a well grown, tall lad.  He will mature to 16.3hh at least.   More information and pictures as we get them but they really don't do this lad justice!

Dana is an imported Danish Knabstrupper mare, born 2002 standing approx 170cm.  She has very good movement and conformation and is an excellent example of a modern Knabstrupper.   Her bloodlines include some of the most influential Knabstruppers in Denmark.   Her sire Xanthos competed successfully in dressage in Denmark and he has sired offspring that compete at International level including the stallion Zanko, a multi Olympic Gold Medal winner in paralympic dressage.  Xanthos has been awarded a silver medal for his offspring by the KNN.  Dana is fully graded with the KNN.

She is a fully graded DANISH WARMBLOOD mare by the great MAY SHERIF and bred by the well respected Cranswick Stud in Leicestershire.

Certainly the most famous of the Danish stallions, May Sherif lived all his life in that country, except for a short period breeding in Finland in 1987. His breeding is a real mix: Trakehner, Holsteiner, Thoroughbred, Trakehner, Hanoverian and Swedish Warmblood!  Despite competition from imported German and Swedish horses, May Sherif won his performance test for the Danish Warmblood Society in 1975.    Initially May Sherif started out covering around 150 mares a year, a very high number at the time.  He went on to compete at Prix St Georges level.  In 1988, he had two of his progeny competing at the Seoul Olympic Games, Andiamo, then ridden by the Swiss Otto Hofer, and Matador with Kyra Kyrklund.   Suddenly May Sherif was not only popular in Denmark, but his semen was being sent all around the world.

Lanthan - HAN 314319478

Grandy - HAN 314215584

Calista is a young British bred Hanoverian mare by the great Contendro.  She is a wonderful example f the modern type of Hanoverian with a huge trot and tremendous elevation.  She is straight moving with uphill paces, good limbs, very good conformation and a lovely head, all in all a beautiful mare!   She has now been graded into the Main Studbook of the WBS with very favourable comments from the Judge.  A super event type, she is sure to excel as a ridden horse.

Her pedigree boasts a huge number of prolific jumping horses including Contender, Calypso 11 and Cor de la Bryere on the sire side as well as Escudo 1 and Lanthan on the dam line as well as State Premium mares and dressage lines as well.

Cali bred us a lovely filly in 2010 and is now for sale to fullfill her potential as an Eventer or Showjumper.  It seems a waste to keep her as simply a broodmare and it was always our intention to sell her on after her first foal.   She is for sale untried and unbroken or we can arrange to have her started by a professional rider.

Her breeding leaves nothing to be desired and contains a wealth of both jump and dressage superstars.........

Contendro 1

Her sire Contendro I, is one of the most successful and most used jumping stallions of today. Contendro I, a jumping and breeding stallion in a league of his own, has 30 licensed sons and 291 broodmares, of which a vast amount are state premium mares, to show for. Contendro I was the winner of his licensing in 1999. One year later he impressed the world again with his impeccable scores in all categories at the stallion performance test and was again awarded the winner at Adelheidsdorf. He qualified for the German championship in 2001 and has done well in jumping shows up to M level.

Contendro has moved into 1st place among Hanoverian Jumper producing stallions, along with producing very good gaits.   Numerous foals from Contendro's first crops were awarded premiums and sold especially well in Hanover. Several were admitted to the foal auctions in Verden, selling for prices that were well above average.

His pedigree also leaves nothing to be desired. Contendro's sire, Contender who also won his stallion performance test and is one of today's most outstanding Holstein Verband sire personalities. The dam, Bravo, produced the top sire, Caretano by Caretino. In 2003 Contendro II became her third licensed son. The grand dam, Ofarim, had two licensed sons, Caballo and Conteur. Contendro I is highly inbred over the Anglo-Arabian stallion, Ramzes, a fact that has always played a significant role in line 104 a, Contendro's line. This line also produced the sires Capitano, Carloni, Carneval, Celano, Chicos Boy, Corland, Landego, Landetto, Laurin, Leuthen I and II, Lonely Boy as well as the top international horses Retina / Fritz Thiedemann, Athlet 90 and Corlanda, both ridden by Willi Melliger (SUI) and Athletico /Ludger Beerbaum.

Escudo 1 (Dam sire)

Escudo I was the winner of the stallion performance test in 1994 and achieved a convincing 144.90 points in the jumping category. He is a son of the Celle State stallion Espri, who is known worldwide for producing outstanding jumping horses, such as "E.T." Escudo I exhibited phenomenal jumping talent at testing and won the six-year-old Jumper Champion title in 1997. He was also the winner of several show jumping competitions at "S" level in 1999. Escudo I is outstanding in type and expression, is well-muscled and has excellent gaits. So far, Escudo I has produced convincing crops of foals, including several winning foals at regional foal shows and the top price foal of the Verden Spring Auction in 1998.

Lanthan (DD Sire)

For a very long time Hanoverian breeders have preferred the elegant Lanthan as a producer of excellent dressage horses. But he also has proven to be an important sire of jumping horses. Because of these successes, Lanthan was for many years placed first in the overall breed values of the National Equestrian Federation (FN). Over his breeding career Lanthan has produced many successful performance horses as well as 15 licensed sons and 65 state's premium mares. His offspring are mostly beautiful horses with elastic movements and a great rideability. They are known for being typy, with good interior attributes and above average rideability. He has sired many conformation champions in Germany and his daughters and their descendants are noted broodmares. The high percentage of Thoroughbred blood in his pedigree makes him a valuable performance and refinement sire. In 1999 Lanthan was the stallion with the highest breeding value in his age-group. Though Lanthan passed away in 2002, his frozen semen is still available.

What this colt lacks in colour he certainly makes up for in quality!  A huge boy, he will make a minimum of 16.3hh like all his siblings.  He is correct, has plenty of bone and a lovely head.  This chap will excel as a Sports Horse with many disciplines well with his capabilities.  His full sister is winning in Sports Horse classes in very limited outings with her amateur owners.   He is registered main book British Appaloosa so can also be shown in App. classes.

Absolutely gorgeous big blanket spotted bay filly foal (May 2005) To make 16.2hh.

Sire: Nobody's Harlequin (pure bred & Graded Knabstrupper)
Dam: Joli Paprika   TB (Joli Wasfi / Scallywag)

This filly is really special. She has so much presence and 'look at me' quality that she is sure to be a star in whatever she does. She has excellent conformation, wonderful elevated paces and combines the athleticism of the Thoroughbred with the flamboyance of the Knabstrupper just perfectly - exactly what I was aiming for with this breeding.

She was bred to perform with either eventing or dressage in mind. She is sweet natured, has been regularly wormed and handled and is now weaned, eating hard feed and ready to go. First to see will buy (my photography just does not do this girl justice!)

TRESAISON HOPE  SOLD

Compact filly foal to make 15.2 /15.3hh approx. by Graded Knabstrupper stallion NOBODY'S HARLEQUIN (164cm) out of R OZEL BA Y (16hh TB). Her dam has had some stunning foals in the past - see last years on our web site.

Real power pack filly very much like her sire in stamp and with the added bonus of TB refinement. She is conker bay at the moment with a lacey white blanket but will certainly colour up more as she matures - there are signs of it already, dark spots were clear on her quarters in her summer coat and her skin is very spotted underneath.  On hard feed, friendly and regularly wormed. Will be registered with SHAPS.
